Position: Business Analyst

​

Responsibilities:

• Composing queries, scripts, stored procedures, user-defined functions, triggers, ctes, views, cursors, and other SQL objects with query languages such as T-SQL and MySQL to meet business requirements.

• Implementing different tools such as SSIS and ODI to perform ETL (Extract, Transform, and Load) among databases.

• Analyzing, maintaining, and optimizing existing SQL scripts, objects, and SSIS packages to improve database performance.

• Conducting visualized and highly customized reports with business intelligence tools such as Power BI, SSRS, and Tableau to help the client getting business insights.

• Implementing error handling methods such as raise error statements, try/catch blocks, etc. to help error-tracking and troubleshooting.

 

Required Competencies / Knowledge / Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Information Systems, Statistic, or related field is required; a Master’s degree is a plus.

• Must have experience working with large data volumes

• Highly skilled in TSQL, SSIS, and MS SQL Server

• SQL Server 2017/2012 reporting (SSRS)/Tableau/Power BI

• Strong in writing and optimizing complex SQL Queries

• Have good data modeling skills (Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, etc.)

• Must be a quick learner and adapt to changes in environment quickly

• Ability to work independently

• Superb oral and written communication skills

• Experience with statistical programming languages such as R, Python, or SAS is a plus
